The design for the system must be submitted to the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality for their approval prior to obtaining a permit for constructing the sewage collection system from the City of Tucson. Reference A. R. S. 49-104 (B) (13). 2. Provide water pressure and water pipe sizing calculations. Reference Section 610.4, UPC 1994. 3. City of Tucson Ordinance 1802 requires a reduced pressure backflow preventer to be located immediately after the water meter. Please show the RPBP on the drawings and include the pressure drop on the water calculations or provide documentation from Tucson Water indicating that this project is exempt from this requirement. 4. Specify the material to be used for the gas piping. Reference Section 103.2.3, UPC 1994. 5. Limit the water velocity to less than 8 fps for Copper piping. Reference Section A 6.1, UPC 1994; IAPMO IS 3-93, Section 610.0. 6. Include the dishwasher in the water demand calculations. Reference Section 610.1, UPC 1994. 7. Show how the piping and ducts in the firewalls comply with Section 712, IBC 2003. 8. The note on sheet 7 indicates that the gas piping is to "comply with UPC sec 1218 - medium pressure gas piping" but the design is for low-pressure gas piping. Correct the note or provide a complete design for the gas distribution system. 9. Correct the natural gas calculations on sheet 7; the heating value for natural gas in this area is not 1100 BTUH/cubic foot. Reference Section 1216.3, UPC 1994. 10. Correct the waste and vent isometric to comply with Section 703.2, UPC 1994. Show the sizes of all of the pipe sections in the isometric. 11.
