2. Provide calculations to show that the sizes of the flues for the unit heaters are adequate. Reference Section 512.4, UPC 1994.
3. Coordinate the natural gas input for the unit heaters with the schedule on sheet M2.1. Revise the gas piping as required.
4. Provide backflow protection for the ice machine, P-10. Reference Section 603.2, UPC 1994.
5. Relocate floor sink near the ice machine as required to conform to the accessibility requirements of Section 804.1, UPC 1994.
6. Clarify how the floor drains (P-12) with 2" traps and trap arms located in the trench drains (P-15) are capable of handling up to 30 gpm (Table 7-4) but the waste pipe has to be 3".
7. The minimum water pressure required for Haws' eyewashes is 30 PSI. Revise water pressure calculations as required. Reference Section 608.1, UPC 1994.
8. Use the fixture unit values shown in Tables 6-3, 7-3, and A-2 to calculate the water demand and waste loading. Include the demand for the evaporative coolers in the tabulation. Revise as required.
9. Clarify how the floor drain located in the wash rack is to be vented.
10. Provide upper terminal cleanout for floor drain at wash rack. Reference Section 707.4, UPC 1994.
11. Clarify how the butterfly valves are to be utilized in the waste piping.
12. The section of drainpipe from the wash rack to the butterfly valves appears to be used for both rainwater and wastewater. Show how this arrangement complies with Section D1.1a, UPC 1994.
13. Provide roof drainage calculations along with the sizes of the roof drains, overflows, and rain leaders.
06/04/2004 Robert Sherry MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Revise the ventilation calculations for FCU-3, FCU-4, and FCU-5. The 24" offset for the enclosing walls is used to define the area into which the outside air is to be delivered - not the area of the space to be ventilated. Use the occupancy rate from Table 403.3 to determine the ventilation requirements for the dayroom. Reference Section 403.3, IMC 2000.
2. Provide the weight of the kitchen hood. Show how the hood is to be supported and provide structural calculations. Reference Section 507.6, IMC 2000.
3. Provide calculations to show that room 130 can maintain a temperature of 68°F on a design day. Reference Section 309.1, IMC 2000.

IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS.

1. Keynote 14 on Sheet E1.1 refers to what appear to be guard posts, but the note itself pertains to conduit. Please clarify.
2. Luminaires P3 on the south side of the site are indicated on Circuit 40, but on the run to Circuit M-41. Please clarify, and recheck loads as necessary.
3. Ckt M-29 and M-25 have (5) Fixtures B3. Pls define on Luminaire Schedule.
4. Ckt M-31 appears to be undercounted, considering the 120 MAX VA on the Luminaire Schedule. However, the loading is appropriate for the 2-32W bulbs that these fixtures contain, per the same Luminaire Schedule. Please clarify, and evaluate M-33, M-35, & EMI-10 as well.
5. Fixture F1 schedule refers to Note 2, which is blank.
6. Account for load on Ckt EM-28 on panel schedule.
7. It appears that 500 VA for the largest motor is too low a figure for Panel M.
8. Please coordinate locations of Panels EM and M between Sheets E2.1 and E3.1. They appear to occupy the same position in the Equipment Room.
9. Dedicated 50A receptacle for range on Keynote 24 Sheet E3.1 has 1' conduit to Panel EM, but no such load on the panel schedule. Please clarify.
10. MCA for HP1-HP5 and FCU1-FCU-5 are higher on Panel M than they are on Sheet M2.1. Please coordinate with Mechanical Engineer and clarify. If the lower values are correct, the Ground Fault and Short Circuit Protection may be oversized.
11. Circuit EMI-11 has receptacle load (Comm Rm) on Power Plan, but is listed as a spare on the panel schedule.
12. SF-1 is 3-phase ¼ HP on Sheet M2.1, and single phase 1/3 HP on Circuit R-34,36. Please coordinate with Mechanical and clarify.
13. It appears that Circuit M-34 should read "EF-4" instead of EF-6. Please check other such circuits for consistency.
14. Some of the rooftop HVAC units appear to be out of 25' range for the maintenance receptacles, such as CU-6, EC-5, EC-1.
15. It appears that the first entry in the Phase B column of Panel M needs to be corrected to account for the relief hood and HP.
16. On Sheet E7.1 Detail F, the reference to NEC 384-3c does not appear to apply. Could the intent be to reference NEC 384-20?
17. On Sheet E7.1 Detail F, there are references to NEC 250-81c, 250-80a, and 250-79c. There are no such Code sections.
18. Electrical specifications 16620-9 2.02 call for a propane generator. A diesel generator is called for on the plans, Sheets E1.1 and E6.1. Please clarify.
19. It appears that the Washer on Ckt EM-9,11,13 should be protected by a 20A CB per NEC 422-11 (e) (2).
20. Please specify the KVA rating of the generator on the plans.
21. Please specify the number of poles of the ATS on the plans.
22. Please demonstrate compliance with the Sustainable Energy Code. http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/Codes___Ordinances/Building_Codes/2000IECCSES_sustainable_energy.pdf
23. Provide pole and foundation detail for all lighting poles. All poles greater than 20' in height, such detail and calculations, shall be sealed by a Registered Structural Engineer.
