12/06/2004 | Robert Sherry | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. The rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole is shown as being less than 3" lower than the flood level rim of the floor drains in the building. A special inspection will be required to verify this in the field. Reference Section 710.1, UPC 1994. 2. Show how the branch of the building drain running south from P-9 complies with Section 313.3, UPC 1994. 3. Clarify how the branch of the building drain running north from P-6 complies with Section 313.2, UPC 1994. 4. Second request. Revise the size of the gas piping rooftop units AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, and AC-6 to comply with the requirements of Table 12-3, UPC 1994. 5. Provide cleanouts with a minimum size per Table 7-6, UPC 1994 (see room 129). 6. Clarify the source of the domestic water supply to the building and the sizes of the meter and backflow preventer. Sheet P0 shows a ¾"meter and a 2" RPBP serving the southwest corner of the building; a ¾' RPBP, a 2" meter, and a 2" pipe serving the southeast corner of the building; but the calculations on sheet P1 refer to a 1-1/2" meter and a 1-1/2" RPBP serving the building. Sheet P2 shows a 2" domestic water service. 7. Clarify the location of the fire riser; sheet P0 shows a 4" fire riser in the northeast corner of the building but it is not shown on any other drawings. 8. Comment not addressed. Section A-A of sheet A-5 shows rain gutters on the north and south sides of the metal building but the shop drawings for the metal building do not show any gutters. If gutters are to be furnished, show the gutter dimensions and the slope of the gutters. If gutters are not to be furnished, show that the specified scuppers, located second and third from the northeast corner of the porch, are capable of handling the design rainfall. Reference Sections D3.1 and D3.2, UPC 1994. |

12/13/2004 | Linda Buczynski | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. "Provide power for EF-5 as indicated on Sheet M3. Coordinate with Mechanical and clarify." This comment was made on first submittal. EF-5 is indicated in Ckt L2-12, but panel schedule describes the load as "Projector". 2. Sheet E6 Electrical Load Summary for Panel L2 totals 85.4 A, which does not agree with the loads on the panel schedule, or my own double-check. I arrive at 37.6 KVA, or 104.4 A. Note: first submittal load calculations come very close to Plans Examiner check. |
