IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS.

1. The new transformer ground, shown by Keynote 15 on the One Line, has to be sized according to the phase conductors, using Table 250-66. 1/0 phase conductors means #6 ground, up a size from #8.
2. Note 11 on the Electrical Specifications refers to boxes within 10 feet of woodworking equipment, and it is doubtful that this activity would take place at the subject location.
3. Suggest that a double check be performed on the load calculations per Record Drawings. Calcs on the plans refer to asbuilts dated 6/8/90. There has been work performed at this facility since then which involved all of the emergency generators then on site. A gas-fueled generator was abandoned in place and the gas line was capped off. A second generator, which to my recollection was named Generator #2, was on the second or third floor and had its load removed such that it could power HVAC equipment. And the loads removed from the two generators above went on the remaining generator, which I believe is the one feeding additional load on this project. Stantec, then Cella Barr, generated the drawings. Tim Baliles might have sealed the plans. A/E should also have records. The job was entitled something like Emergency Power System Upgrade at Police Headquarters, and would have been done around 1996.
4. Ground size increase calculations, UPS to Panel 911. With 100 A CB, I would read #3 phase conductor from the 75º column of Table 310-16, and #8 from Table 250-122. Final area for ground size increase 33132, which means #4, instead of #6.
5. Ground size increase calculations, ESB1 to Panel X'FMR. With 60 A CB, I would read #6 phase conductor from the 75º column of Table 310-16, and #10 from Table 250-122. Final area for ground size increase 26250, which means #4, instead of #6. This is actually substantially close enough to the area of the #6 that I would tend to accept it, but you might consider the change while you are correcting the other run per Comment #4 above.
