This project has been reviewed for conformance with the 2000 IBC, 1997 UAC, 2000 IMC, 1998 IECC, 1999 NEC codes with local modifications, and the 1994 UPC with State of Arizona Amendments. Any revisions to this plan will require an additional review and approval by Willdan. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS: Sheet A2.0 1. For the sales floor, four exits are required. Only three exits are provided. Provide an additional exit from the sales floor. The exit through the storeroom is not a permitted exit. Reference IBC Section 1004.2.3 and IBC Table 1005.2.1. 2. Please provide the door number and hardware group for all doors. Reference IBC Sections 106.1.1 and 1003.3.1.2. Sheet A2.1 1. Please provide details clearly showing the sliding exit doors are provided with breakaway panels. Reference IBC Sections 106.1.1 and 1003.3.1.2. Sheets A3.0 and E1.2 1. Provide additional exit signs on the sales floor to clearly direct the path of egress from all areas of the building. Reference IBC Section 1003.2.10.1. Sheets A3.0 and A6.0 1. Please clarify the discrepancy between the calculations, sheet 1/18 and 3/18, and the design of the metal deck for the mezzanine as detailed on sheet S1.0. Reference IBC Section 106.1.1. PLUMBING COMMENTS: Sheets P2.0 and P3.0 1. Please clarify the discharge point for the temperature-pressure relief valve. The details specify it is to discharge into the mop sink but the floor plan indicates it discharges to the restroom. Reference UPC Section 608.5 and IBC Section 106.1.1. MECHANICAL COMMENTS: The mechanical portion has been reviewed and accepted. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS: Sheet E1.1 1. Relocate the exit in the stock room to clearly indicate the path of travel to the north exit. As shown it could be confusing as it is located adjacent to the electrical room. Reference IBC Section 1003.2.10.1. 2. Provide exterior exit illumination at all exits from the structure. Reference IBC Sections 1003.2.11.2 and 1003.2.11.3. ENERGY CODE COMMENTS: The energy code portion has been reviewed and accepted. ACCESSIBILITY COMMENTS: Sheets A5.1 and A6.0 Provide a minimum of 12 inches on the latch side, push side of door 105, and 18 inches on the latch side, pull side of doors 105, 109, and 111 as required by ADAAG Section 4.13, Figure 25. |
