All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL: q There are no general comments to be addressed. ARCHITECTURAL: q Does the accessible restroom have existing grab bars for the existing toilet [ANSI A117.1-1998]? Please clarify. q There is some ambiguity between Detail 4 on Sheet A3.0 and Details 101 and 107 on Sheet M-2. Detail 107 is clear that a minimum of 6" clear needs to be provided between the duct and the chase. Details 4 and 101 indicate the chase it to be 6" larger than the duct. Please clarify. Detail 107 is correct; where as the other details are not. Please clarify on Details 4 and 101 that there is a 6" clearance required between the exhaust duct and the inside surface of the chase [2000 IMC Sec. 506.3.11]. STRUCTURAL: q Provide calculations demonstrating that the added joists are adequate to strengthen the roof at the locations of the new roof mounted equipment. The exhaust fan location has been adequately addressed with only 150 lbs. being supported by an additional truss. The other location has two new units totaling 1,100 lbs. being supported by an additional truss. Please address this location. MECHANICAL: q See architectural comment above for comment regarding exhaust hood chase. PLUMBING: q There are no plumbing comments to be addressed.
