| 07/31/2003 | EROSE1 | 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this review covers electrical for Wings D and E only. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittal provided. All portions of the project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. The project was reviewed under the City of Tucson's local amendments to UBC Chapter 11. All accessibility requirements must be identified and detailed on the plans according to those rules and guidelines. GENERAL: q The mechanical equipment names on the electrical plans are different than the mechanical equipment names on the mechanical plans. This makes plan check coordination between the mechanical and electrical disciplines much more difficult. q Some plans or partial plans do not show building grid lines. This makes plan check coordination more difficult. ELECTRICAL: q On Sheet E2.04A, define panel "NACPS" in the legend sheet. Typical for all sheets showing panels labeled as "NACPS". q On Sheet E2.04D, equipment # 021 appears to use a circuit already assigned to another piece of equipment. q On Sheet E2.17A, electrical plans need to show room names and building grid lines. Also see the general comments regarding mechanical equipment names. q On Sheet E3.3, why does circuit 2504 not have a ground conductor for service between the utility transformer and SES - 3? How is the utility transformer grounded? q On Sheet E3.3, what is panel DIM shown fed from D1HA? Show panel schedule and address any overcurrent protective device needs required by the NEC. q On Sheet E3.3, show sheet continuation information for the connections from the automatic transfer switches and the generator. q On Sheet E3.3, the fuse sizes shown for elevators EL-P3, EL-P4 and EL-S3 exceed the maximum fuse size allowed in NEC table 430-152. q On Sheet E3.5, confirm and coordinate the information shown on the fault current calculations and one line diagram. Revise the fault calculations accordingly. Cable size shown for fault points 5 through 9, 13, and 15 do not match cable size shown on the one line diagram on sheet E3.3. Fault point 41 transformer size does not match the transformer size shown on the one line diagram on sheet E3.3. q On Sheet E4.12, show panel board load calculations the same as shown on E4.14. q On Sheet E4.12, Panel DP1HA - circuit 37,39,41 circuit breaker size appears to be incorrect. Load summary appears to be incorrect. q On Sheet E4.12, Panel DP1PA - circuit 32,34,36 is missing load information. q On Sheet E4.12, Panel DP1PB - many circuits are missing load information. Revise the load summary accordingly. q On Sheet E4.12, Panel D2HB - load summary math is incorrect. q On Sheet E4.13, Panel D3HA - load summary does not include panel D3HB load, which is connected to the feed through lugs. q On Sheet E4.13, Panel D3HB - load summary math is incorrect. q On Sheet E4.13, Panel D5HA and Panel D5HB fault current bracing ratings do not match. q On Sheet E4.13, Panel D5HA and Panel D5HB load summary information does not match. q On Sheet E4.14, revise all panel schedules and load summaries to be consistent with the load calculations shown at the bottom of the sheet. Show load calculation for panel D2PB. q On Sheet E4.15, Panel D7HA - load shown for circuit 2,4,6 is incorrect compared to the motor HP. q On Sheet E4.16, revise all panel schedules and load summaries to be consistent with the load calculations shown at the bottom of the sheet. Show load accumulated totals for panels upstream of D2PA. Show load calculations for panels D3PB, D3PC, and D4PC. -End of Review- |
