It is difficult to tell what has been approved (and is now considered existing) and what is new. q The code listings in the code analysis are incorrect. Please review this list above and correct the plan accordingly. Also, the City of Tucson is under the 2000 International Fire Code and not the 1997 Uniform Fire Code. q Provide the specifications (construction manual) referenced in the general notes on Sheet A2.01-TI. q The kitchen and the furniture system on Sheet A2.01 have been noted as "under separate permit. Will you be submitting these as separate permits or as deferred submittals to this permit? However, Sheet P1.01 for example references a sheet not in this set (P1.04) for the kitchen or food service drawings (as if the kitchen is part of this permit). Sheet E2.1 indicates that the kitchen and dining area is to be under a separate submittal (i.e. a deferred submittal to this permit?). Please coordinate. ARCHITECTURAL: q Review the door schedule for fire rated doors and correct the door schedule accordingly. There are 3 doors (51B, 53, and 231B) listed as 60 minute doors, with none of these doors in rated walls. Where is door 101A in the door schedule? This door needs to be a fire rated assembly. There are at least 13 doors that need to be fire rated. Please indicate. q The exit passageway and the exit vestibules leading from the stairs to the exterior of the building need to be of 1-hour fire-resistance rated construction [2000 IBC Sec. 1005.3.3 and 1006.1, Exception 2]. All doors in these exit enclosures also need to be rated. STRUCTURAL: q There are no structural comments to be addressed. MECHANICAL: q The mechanical design is incomplete. Sheets M1.03, M1.04, M1.05, and M1.06 show main duct lines to VAVs on the first floor, however after the VAVs the ducts are incompletely shown, duct sizes are missing, register sizes are not provided, and volumes of air at the registers are not shown. The second floor design is in the same state. Also, the electrical drawings provide power for a lot of mechanical equipment that is not defined in the mechanical plans. Review of the mechanical plans will be done when complete plans are submitted. PLUMBING: q The plumbing design is incomplete. There are only two sheets in the set submitted and these two sheets reference several other sheets that are not a part of this set. Review of the plumbing plans will be done when complete plans are submitted. ELECTRICAL: q There appear to be changes to the one line diagram (fuse sizes). Were these changes completed since the "Shell" permit's approval? Please clarify (they are clouded but not marked with a delta revision symbol or date). The one line was approved as part of the Shell Permit and any changes to it need to be submitted as revisions to the Shell Permit. q What are the rectangular symbols (with the heavy black end) on the core power plans E1.2 and E1.4? There is no symbol legend in this set to clarify. q Where is Panel "Mech Ctrl" on Sheet E8.5 shown on the electrical one-line diagram? Please clarify. q Panel "L2P2B" in the one-line diagram on Sheet E7.2 indicates that the schedule can be found on Sheet E8.7, however the schedule could not be found on this sheet or any other sheet (and all schedules can be accounted). |
