| 01/14/2004 | Doug Williams | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Denied | SUBJECT: Grading Permit review - 335 E. Elvira REVIEWER: Doug Williams DATE: 15 January 2004 ACTIVITY NUMBER: T03BU03181/T03OT02275 SUMMARY: Engineering Division has reviewed the subject grading permit application received 22 DEC 2003. Approval is not recommended at this time. Please address the following comments prior to resubmittal: 1. Please indicate on the plan that the submittal is a grading plan in addition to a site plan, or submit a separate grading document. 2. Depict and label grading limits on the plan. 3. Provide general grading notes. 4. Grading shall conform to the 2000 International Building Code (IBC) local amendment. Please provide a note indicating such on the plan. For additional grading permit and plan information, go to http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/2000_IBC_Amendments.pdf 5. The plan depicts a fill area south of the basin, yet the grading permit application and cut/fill quantities provided indicate a zero fill quantity - revise as necessary. 6. The plan does not demonstrate that 100-year water surface elevation (41.07) will be contained within the basin or property limits. Depict the 100-year ponding limits on the plan and provide sufficient elevation information demonstrating containment onsite. 7. Provide a north-south cross section for the basin, including depiction of the berm, fully dimensioned and labeled with elevations provided. Please submit three (3) sets of the grading plan with the next submittal. If you have any questions, I can be reached at 791-5550, extension 1189 or Dwillia1@ci.tucson.az.us Douglas Williams Sr. Engineering Associate Engineering Division Development Services Department |
