Closure documentation for Canterbury Ranch including as-builts was received by Engineering on June 29, 2009. There was a delay in the review because of in correct activity number assignment and since the Inspector had not been called out to the site prior to resubmittal. The site has been re-checked for full release or grading permit and reseed bond. Field report was provided by PDSD Engineering Inspector to check if items had been completed. Planning & Development Services Department Engineering Division does not recommend approval of the grading closure documentation until the remaining comments are addressed: REMAINING COMMENTS: North area: 1) Remove vegetation in the weir-channel at top north edge of north basin. East area: 2) Install cut-off wall for east spillway system per approved grading plan. This toedown has not been verified by Engineer of Record on this as-built, that it has been constructed per approved plans. Only the west side of the structure has been identified on plans. West area: 3) The submitted document with elevations needs clarification; provide As-built clarifying locations of elevations for west basin area using approved grading plan. Include high point in pavement north of west basin inlet. Clarification is needed for high point of road just north of west basin, as well as as-built elevations for inlet and outlet areas of the west basin. After field items have been addressed and inspected, please submit, under activity # T03BU02430, the response letter and rest of closure document package with revised as-built. Include 2 copies each of substantial completion letter, and basin function conformance letters, with as-builts. For questions, call me at 837-4934.
