05/13/2003 STANTEC 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied GENERAL:

q There are no general comments to be addressed.

ARCHITECTURAL:

q What is the width of the concrete columns?

STRUCTURAL:

q All of the details on Sheet A6.06 show all of the steel beams set in the same plane. However all of the structural details on Sheet S1.0 show the beams lying in different planes. Please clarify.

q Detail 262 shows two beams parallel and in close proximity to one another. What are the sizes of these two beams? The framing plans shows the size of framing members, however there are no members shown so close and parallel to one another. Is the beam size on the framing plan for the upper beam or the lower beam? Please clarify.

q Detail 262 indicates that the support beam under the metal deck extends beyond the deck coverage. By how much? Provide a dimension. Also, the framing plans and architectural drawings do not show such an extension. Please coordinate.

q How do the three 6x6x1/4 beams attach to one another at their convergence at the northern canopy?

q Shouldn't the steel decking always be going in the other direction in Detail 264 based on the framing plan and where this detail is keyed? Please clarify.

q How does the double steel angle in Detail 264 attach to the primary structure at its ends? This connection is not clear in Detail 263. Should it be welded to the ledger angle called out in Detail 263 or does it bear on another bearing plate at the concrete column? Please clarify.

q Are their footings for the concrete columns? Any steel in these concrete columns? Calculations for the columns? Please provide.

q Provide footing information for the 9'-0" high wrought iron fencing.

MECHANICAL:

q There are no mechanical comments to be addressed.
