GENERAL COMMENTS

U-values for windows and doors, and shading coefficient for windows shall be indicated on the plans.

Calculations specify R-values for roof insulation to be R-30. Plans show 3" rigid insulation with a total R value of 20.

Provide a copy of the soils report. Soils report shall substantiate the site class as "C"

Total occupant load for this building is 324 occ > 250 occ. IE = 1.25 and Iw = 1.15 as per
Table 1604.5.

1704.3 Steel Construction. Special inspection is required for all field welded connections.

1704.4 Concrete Construction. Special inspection is required for concrete where design
f’c > 2500 psi.

Special inspection is required by an Arizona licensed engineer for Placement of Reinforcement for concrete to final inspection.

A SPECIAL INSPECTION CERTIFICATE, furnished by the City of Tucson is required to be completed and signed by the Owner and Engineer responsible for carrying out the required special inspections prior to obtaining a building permit. Please note that the Owner or his Legal Agent must also sign the Special Inspection Certificate.

Provide specifications for metal deck welding, shear transfer.

The installation of air conditioning and other equipment (such as compressors, fans, condensers and transformers) must be detailed on and made part of the plans

Structural plans and calculations are required for support of all roof equipment unless installed under a separate permit. The weight of roof equipment shall also be included in the seismic design.
