03/22/2001 | JIM JOHNSEN | ENGINEERING | REVIEW | Denied | 1. General Paving Note 9 on sheet 1 should include the words 'Development Services Department' after the words 'City of Tucson.' 2. The plan title at the top of sheet 1 should say 'Paving and Grading Plan' to agree with the title block in the lower right corner and to reflect the nature of the plan. 3. The wording of the warning signs for the parking lots where water is being ponded as shown on sheets 5 through 10, except sheet 8, should be changed to read in accordance with the Drainage Standards Manual paragraph 12.3, i.e., add the words No unattended or overnight parking is permitted. These signs should be double sided as well so that the warning can be read from both sides. 4. The number of catch basin inlet grates for the stormdrain system should be noted on the plan in accordance with the drainage report addendum. 5. The P.A.A.L. width shown at the top of sheet 7 is only 26.91 feet. According to the approved development plan, this P.A.A.L. is to have a continuous width of 30.0 feet. 6. The parking lot in the northeast corner of this development as shown on sheet 9 is required to be posted with warning signs in accordance with the Drainage Standards Manual paragraph 12.3 as agreed to in a meeting with Bill Zimmerman of MMLA on March 13. 7. The pavement slopes shown on sheet 9 for the parking lot in the northeast corner of this development do not provide consistent elevations at the stormdrain catchbasin inlet grate. The information shown should be verified and additional spot grades and/or contours should be provided to ensure the basin functions as proposed in the drainage report addendum. 8. The parking lot at the north end of this development as shown on sheet 10 is required to be posted with warning signs in accordance with the Drainage Standards Manual paragraph 12.3. 9. The discharge shown exiting the El Con Mall site at Avenida del Rio on sheet 10 should be changed to 193.0 cfs. This is the maximum allowable discharge at this location per the approved El Con Mall development plan, D00-0017, and per the drainage report addendum submitted for this phase of development. 10. The words 'by City of Tucson' that have been included in the stormdrain connection notation at the top of sheet 10 should be deleted. That notation implies that the City of Tucson is responsible for making this connection. 11. The 35 linear foot curb opening where stormwater runoff is supposed to exit the site into Avenida del Rio to the north per the approved El Con Mall development plan, D00-0017, should be shown and annotated and/or detailed as necessary on sheet 10. 12. A copy of the approved development plan must accompany all grading plan submittals. 13. All redlines should be returned with the next plan submittal. |
