| 12/15/2020 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Water suppliers are required to protect their water systems from contamination by both Federal and State laws. To that end, each water service shall be equipped with a backflow prevention assembly. Installing stub-outs upstream of the backflow prevention assembly as described in keynote 20 of sheet 4 of 20 will necessitate the installation of a backflow assembly for each stub-out. Reference: City Ordinance #9976, https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/water/docs/backflow-ordinance.pdf 2. Cleanouts for the building sewer shall not be located greater than 100-feet apart, measured along the developed pipe length from the upstream entrance of the cleanout. Revise item 5 of the Private Sewer Notes on sheet 4 of 20 to clarify that the maximum distance between cleanouts is based on the developed pipe length, not the horizontal distance.
