UDC: Add site address of 8535 E Speedway to each sheet, thank you. A) Sign types, sign area and sign sizes as proposed are within code, thank you. B) One monument sign is permitted; two are indicated. Check site plan sheet and adjust. C) Appears monument intended near corner of Goebel and Speedway, clarify exact location. Need a minimum setback of 20’ from face of each street curb to the leading edge of the sign structure, please provide dimensions from both streets. A monument sign may be placed on either side of the bisection line you have shown; but it must be shown on same sheet next to bisection. D) understood sign height intended at 10 feet. Height taken from top of adjacent street curbs to top of sign cabinet OR from average grade within 5 feet of the sign using the cardinal (S/N/E/W) directional points to find the average. Check the slopes out here, choose where to measure and add on elevation point (recommend leaving 4 to 6” window of margin for adjustment) 2) NEC / OLC A) Show shut off switch location for the monument sign. B) Max kelvins in Tucson is 4400k max, not 3000k. FYI for you, update signage as desired. 3) IBC - A) thank you for engineering at 115 mph for larger wall sign and monument. For staff to review, must scan each sheet in full, with seal, rather than partial sheets (Also, is it specific to this site address?) Further review will be forthcoming with upload of plans – revise other sheets first, please. B) FYI - concrete at 3000 p.s.i. needs special inspection – uploading a form (check attachment) for your engineer’s use to appoint qualified special inspector C) add note “no on site welds” D) identify the material the faux block is affixed to, i.e. metal skirt – and note how attached Please feel free to email me with any questions.
