Reviewer: H. Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov

Codes: Unified Development Code (7A) Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC) 600, Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code (IBC) 2018

1. UDC:
A) Zoning is I-1 industrial and a sign area ratio of 4 square feet per each 1 linear foot of frontage is permitted, not to exceed 40% of the building elevation with coverage of signs.
B) Given the tenant has substantial street frontage just examining the plan for perspective, I acknowledge the proposal is well within allowed sign area for wall and likely detached signage.
C) For the permit record, add the lot line and the building frontage to the site plan. This information will clarify how many freestanding signs will be allowed at the site overall.
D) Revise the SVTs on Country Club to 20 x 345

2. NEC:
A) Provide note that the signs shall have a dedicated circuit, which will be labeled at the breaker panel

3. OLC:
A) Provide note that the sign timer shall shut signage off at midnight
B) Provide note that signs shall have UL, manufacturer, and installer stickers on side of all signs

4. IBC:
A) I acknowledge the engineering for the monument sign can be approved
B) Add note to plans no onsite welds without reviewed / approved special inspection (no specific field welds were noted on these plans for this sign, weld notes this engineer uses are only general notes at the bottom of the plans)

5. Once the Development Package and Building Permits have been issued for the site, please resubmit this package. Thank you.

Depending on revisions resubmitted, further review comments may be forthcoming.
