02/27/2023 | Signs | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | RE: sign review For: 2 "entry feature signs" AT: 345 N 5th Av / Corbett Sign permit: TS-PRM-0223-00183 Reviewer: H. Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Date: 2/27/2023 Codes: Unified Development Code (7A, Sign Standards) UDC, National Electrical Code (NEC 600), Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), International Building Code. 1. UDC 7A: A) The sign design shows cabinets both above and below arches at the site. The Sign context is not clear as to whether detached or attached. Either way, please note the following: for detached signs, sign height, area and setback would likely need a master sign program. For attached signs, the sign cabinets may be roof signs, which the City of Tucson does not permit. It would be most helpful to have greater context for these signs in relationship to the arches construction - are they incorporated into adjacent buildings ? Are the buildings "behind" the arches taller? Once I have further context via architectural plans, I can help facilitate review information. Thank you. |
