07/26/2023 | Signs | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | RE: monument sign review For: Pusch Ridge School - digital / static combo AT: 5951 S 12th AV Permit: TS-PRM-0223-00170 SDRC case: TS-MSP0223-00001 Codes: Unified Development Code (UDC), National Electrical Code (NEC) 600, Tucson-Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), and International Building Code (IBC) 2018 1. The design professional has approved the revision to the sign design from flag-mount to center pole mount and clarifying double-faced sign is allowed. 2. To proceed with this permit, please address the following and resubmit on the portal: A) Page 5 of the permit package indicates that the unit is 6,000 - 10,000k range. The Outdoor Lighting Code CH. 501.3.2 requires that internally illuminated signs do not exceed 4400k color temperature at full operation. B) Units must be able to dim to 200 Nits from sunset to midnight shut off curfew, either by photocell or timer or use of both (seasonal). C) Add construction notes as to materials used for the base, the embellishments - and then HOW they are mounted to the sign structure. D) Clarify if there are two saddle / bolt systems here - top and bottom of cabinet? The unit appears to not meet the OLC criteria from the information provided thus far. It's entirely possible that another unit can be chosen to meet the Outdoor Lighting Code criteria. Please email me when you are ready to resubmit and I'll pull the plans immediately for review.
