Standard Comments – Recent Review Process Updates
The following information is required for all permits submitted under the updated City review process:
1. Permit Application:
Include the total number of Active ROW (Right-of-Way) impact days for each closure type and location (e.g., right lane, left lane, bike lane, sidewalk, turn bay, etc.). In addition to the overall permit length in the Work Duration Section.
2. Construction / Design Plans / Site Plan:
When pavement cuts are proposed, identify the total square yardage of each pavement cuts in the Work Detail section of the permit application and on the applicable design, site, or construction plans, and call out the location of Bore Pits (with dimension) , Trenches, and Aerial work.
3. Traffic Control Plan (TCP):
The TCP shall include:
o Total number of Active ROW impact workdays (Duration) per Closure and Closure Type when multiple closure will be used within the project.
o Total closure length, including:
 Taper length
 Buffer space length
 Work area length
 Return taper length
 Bike Lane closure length if different than overall TC closure
 Pedestrian Detour Route – if different than overall TC closure
 Plan to call out all Bus Stops and how they are address with in TC closure
o Work hours based on the applicable ROW closure type.
o All other required traffic control details and work area information necessary to clearly define the proposed impacts.
o Plans should note or take into consideration type of work and associate Equipment that will be placed (Ex. Bore line at back of Sidewalk will require Bore Drill placement on Sidewalk, work trucks park in ROW when work maybe behind curb line, or Aerial Bucket trucks placement).
Note: This information shall be included with all permit applications moving forward to comply with the City's updated review process and current Permit Fee Schedule.
