Fire New Construction REVIEW COMPLETED
Historic REVIEW COMPLETED The Special Exception request is specifically for relief from undergrounding the crossing of the Euclid Av/Broadway Bl intersection, nothing to do with the siting of the lines. Pursuant to UDC 4.9.11.A.13 for Transmission Lines within a Gateway Corridor Zone, criteria listed in UDC 3.4.5 and 4.9.11.A.13 only apply to relief from the undergrounding requirements of the Gateway Corridor Zone as Broadway Bl is a designated Gateway Major Route per the Major Streets & Routes (MS&R) Plan. The Euclid/Broadway intersection is not within a designated Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPZ), so no historic preservationj review will be required. Any questions, please send an email to PDSDHistoric@tucsonaz.gov.

Site Zoning REVIEW COMPLETED FROM: Loran Shamis; Principal Planner

PROJECT: TP-ENT-1024-00023
Address: 749 E BROADWAY BL
Parcel(s): N/A - Right of way
Zoning: I-1, R-3, C-3

Proposal: Overhead Transmission Line crossing Gateway Corridor of Broadway Boulevard

COMMENT: 4.9.11.A.13.a – This standard is applicable - demonstrate how this standard is being met.

COMMENT: UDC 4.9.11.d - Please clearly dimension the distance between the curbline of the designated Gateway Corridor to the proposed placement of the poles. Zoning acknowledges the key to the PDP demonstrating the 150’ buffer but would prefer the PDP clearly dimensions the distance from the curbline to ensure the 150’ is measured from the appropriate location per the UDC standard.

COMMENT: 4.9.11.A.13.g – Demonstrate how standard is met. Clarifying the potential customers does not demonstrate how “electrical service to critical customers where overhead lines are strongly recommended for specialized operations” is being met.

COMMENT: 4.9.11.A.13.h – TEP provides service to all customers in the region. Citing poverty standards for Tucson residents, only, is not accurate. Provide more applicable information.
