1.Construction Site Safety Plan.The submittal does not appear to include the construction site safety plan required by
IFC 3303.1.1. The plan shall be submitted and approved prior to issuing the building permit. Please provide
documentation on the plans the construction site safety plan is approved by the local code official. (2024 IFC 3303.1)
2.Fire Protection Impairment Plan.Whenever existing fire protection or life safety systems are out of service, the facility
shall activate its Tucson Fire Department-approved fire protection system impairment plan. Please provide
documentation that the impairment plan is approved by the local code official. (2024 IFC 901.7)
3.Sheet FP2 / Occupancy Identification.The plans do not appear to identify“all rooms and spaces, regardless of
occupancy”as required by NFPA 13-28.1.3(6). Please address this upon resubmittal. (2024 IFC 903.3.1.1)
4.Sheet FP 2 / CMSA Hydraulic Remote Area.The long dimension of the remote area(43’ 11”)does not appear to meet
the requirements of NFPA 13-28.2.4.3. Please revise the size of the remote area to comply with NFPA 13-28.2.4.3.

5.Sheet FP2 / Seismic Protection.According to the ASCE Hazard Tool, this facility falls within Seismic Design Category
C and requires seismic protection for the fire sprinkler system. Please provide seismic bracing and calculations on
resubmittal or a stamped, signed report from a licensed structural engineer this site is not Seismic Design Category C.

6.Sheet FP2 / Connection from Existing Warehouse/ Flexible Coupling.A flexible coupling shall be provided to allow the
new piping to move differentially from the existing piping in the adjacent warehouse. (2024 IFC 903.3.1.1 and NFPA

7.Sheet FP 2 Plan Southeast / Overhead Doors.The plans appear to show overhead doors in the southeast exterior
wall. Please confirm on the plans if these are overhead doors and provide protection beneath where required. (2024

8.Sheet FP2 / Air Vent.The plans do not appear to show the required high point air vent. Please show its location on the

9.Hydraulic Calculations.It is not clear from the plans the hydraulic calculations are computed to the test site. The
hydraulic calculation shall extend to the effective point of the water supply where the characteristics of the water

RESUBMITTAL DIRECTIONS:
· All corrections must be clouded, delta numbered, with a brief explanation within the plan sheet or the title block of the sheet.
For corrections or revision to whole plan sheets, you need only cloud the sheet number and provide the delta identification
number, with a brief explanation of the change(s).
· As part of the resubmittal, please collate all revised sheets into the electronic document (PDF) and submit a complete and
full plan set. We cannot accept individual sheets in response to review comments, since the entire plan set is required for
approval and permitting.
· Please include with the resubmittal a separate response narrative, which is numbered or itemized to correspond to each of
the noted plan review comments items.
· This response narrative must clearly address how each issue was corrected or resolved and indicate where the information
may be found within the construction documents. The response narrative must be typewritten, on letterhead noting the
project name, with the Permit Application Number. Failure to provide this response narrative may result in review delays or
rejection of the resubmittal.
· Once all electronic construction documents (plan sheets, energy compliance certificates, reports, calculations, etc.) have
been revised according to the above directions. Please resubmit the complete revised plan set with a separate copy of
response narrative PDF through the municipality to complete the review.
· Review of revised construction documents in response to this letter may take upwards of 5 (five) business days, depending
on the size of the project and the volume of plans in queue at time of resubmittal.
