| 04/23/2024 | External Reviewers - Tucson Airport Authority | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | April 22, 2024 Planning and Development Services City of Tucson 201 North Stone Avenue Tucson, AZ. 85701 RE: TD-DEV-0424-00115, We will be adding a shaded parking structure on the private airport side of the tarmac for K-9 vehicle parking for the airport police. / 7150 S Tucson Blvd, Tucson, AZ. 85756, Received April 15, 2024 To whom this may concern, Thank you for the opportunity to comment on TD-DEV-0224-00115, a development plan for constructing a new shaded parking structure on the private airport side of the tarmac for K-9 vehicle parking for the airport police at 7150 S Tucson Blvd. This development is located in the S.E. quarter of the S.W. quarter of Section 17, Township 15S, Range 14E, of the Gila and Salt River Meridian. The development site occupies parcel number 140-42-074A, covers approximately 0.0207 ± acres, and is zoned as Mixed Use Zoning (MU). The nearest major roadway intersection is East Airport Drive and South Plumer Avenue, approximately 950 feet to the northwest of the subject development. The Tucson Airport Authority is requiring a resubmit of this project. Please update this submittal of the project to reflect the comments that the Tucson Airport Authority has provided. Tucson Airport Authority Comments: 1. Page 1 - Location map in upper left-hand corner of page one is incorrect. Sections 16 and 21 are being shown in the location map in error. Sections 18 and 20 are missing from the location map. Please correct this map accordingly since it appears to show it is representing Sections 17 – 20. 2. Page 1 – Permitting Notes – Note #2 – Please review the permitting authority for this project. The project is located within the jurisdiction of the City of Tucson and was annexed into the City of Tucson. 3. Page 2 – Grading Notes – Note #16 – This note references using Town of Oro Valley zoning code. Please correct this note to represent the appropriate zoning authority. 4. Overall comment – It appears that only uncovered parking spaces, with wheel stops, are being proposed. Please update plan set in the next submittal to represent shaded parking structure, which is referenced within the description of the project, unless it has been removed from the scope of work of the project.
