Code reference, 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). General/Structural Notes: 1. Sheet A2.1, Update Wall Type “A” to match the details found on Sheet A4.1. 2. Sheet A4.1 detail 7 states “Continue Roofing onto Existing”. Provide a detail for the new porch roof attaching into the existing roof system, R106.1.1. Show nailing, anchors, straps, flashing, etc. 3. Sheet A4.1 detail 7, Show the anchors being used to attach the pony wall’s bottom plate to the existing wall’s top plate, R106.1.1, R301.1. 4. Sheet A4.1 detail 1 and detail 7, Specify the minimum thickness (1/2”) of non-structural siding, R602.10.3.4, and a #15 water-resistive barrier over studs/sheathing of all exterior walls, R703.2. OSB may be 3/8” thickness as a structural sheathing, whereas T1-11 is non-structural. 5. Sheet A2.2, correct the details #4. Shear Wall Detail is #5? On the provided panel schedule show the wire size and type for each circuit of the two new circuits, E3702.2. Note conduit type and size where used. (Table 6.3-2.A). The proposed setback is 3’-4”. A Design Development Option (DDO) will need to be processed and approved to reduce the setback.
