| 12/27/2024 | Special Inspection Certificate Review (Deferred Submittal) Express | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | This week, the documents in review were uploaded into the City permitting system website. As previously commented using "Requires Resubmit", the submission is incomplete. Numerous weeks ago, a string of emails were used to respond to the special inspector and applicant in order to resolve this issue. As mentioned within the email, notes are to be added into Part C of the Special Inspection Certificate form per the City Chief Building Official directive. Should a special inspection not used, prior to special inspector sealing/signing/dating Part C, notes shall be added into Part C such as "Soil Compaction not utilized for this structure" (when fill is added to a specific site under the slab... the lift of soil must be compacted... NOTE: as agreed within the previous emails, this is not the Geotechnical Report), "Epoxy Anchor not utilized for this structure", "Holdown not utilized for this structure", etc. For consistency now and in the future, please add the required notes in Part C of the Special Inspection Certificate form prior to uploading into the City permitting system website. This will remove any uncertainty and will speed the process by several weeks.
