1. GENERAL - UPDATES: For project updates, please submit sheets with all changes clearly marked in revision clouds. Please provide a written response to each comment; updates without a clear response to all comments may not be
reviewed. If you have any questions regarding the comments, you may contact me directly. Updates may result in additional comments.
2. GENERAL - GEOTECHNICAL REPORT: Please provide a copy of the site-specific geotechnical report referenced in the structural general notes. The report should support the appropriateness of the selected foundation system for the
project site. All submitted geotechnical reports must be dated no later than three years from the submittal date. Outdated reports must be accompanied by a letter from a qualified geotechnical engineer stating that the report
requirements are still valid, or stating what items may have changed. All building code references must be updated to the current code adopted by the City.
3. SHEET S0.01 - MECHANICAL UNITS: The Roof Framing Plans, Sheets S1.4A & 1.4B, show mechanical units and multiple locations on the roof. The Structural General Notes, Sheet S0.01, Section L. Wood, Note 5.d.(5) states that
trusses shall be designed for "twice the weight of the mechanical units indicated on plans". Please confirm where in the drawings the weights of these units have been provided. If they are not called out in the structural drawings, please provide a maximum weight that the truss manufacturer shall design their trusses for.
4. SHEET S0.02 - CONFLICTING INFORMATION: The Structural General Notes, Sheet S0.02, Section L. Wood, Note

and installation of MEP conduits and architectural finishes.
5. SHEETS S1.1A & S1.1B - POST TENSIONED SLABS-ON-GRADE: The engineer of record has specified that "final minimum elongations required for each tendon" shall be provided by the tendon supplier. In the case of post-tensioned slabs on grade, tendon elongations are required to be submitted prior to permit issuance. Please provide a schedule of tendon elongations based on overall plan dimensions provided. Please note that it is acceptable to provide preliminary estimates for elongation to be verified by the PT supplier prior to installation.
6. SHEET S2.43 - CONFIRM DESIGN, SHEARWALL LAYOUT: The Shearwall Layout on Sheet S2.43 appears to show
that shear walls shall be framed using balloon framing rather than platform framing. (The double top plate of the floor below is fastened directly to the sill plate of the floor above. This is in contrast to Detail 2, 3 & 6/S4.2 which shows floor
trusses in platform framing. Please confirm which framing condition is desired and revise the details to be consistent.

1. E1.1 Could not locate Key Note 14.
2. E1.2 Need to provide Tucson City exterior lighting calculation
3. E2.1A Could not locate Key Notes 6 and 7. Missing Key Note 8.
4. E5.1 Should confirm the 100,000 amp AFC value from the local Utility. It is probably much less which would allow the
600 amp main panel to have a lower KAIC value. Current 100 KAIC rating will be difficult to obtain for circuit breaker
protected panels below 1600 amps.
5. E5.1 Revise/remove General Note 5 as project is located in Tucson, not Phoenix.
6. E5.5 Equipment Schedule for EF fans all have unrealistically high FLA values. Need to correct.
7. E6.1 Suggestion only. Fixture B should be an LED type wall sconce to better achieve newer IRC and IECC code
requirements.
