| 01/03/2024 | Commercial Electrical | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Permit Review TC-COM-1223-02788 (2525 N TUCSON BL TUCSON, AZ 85716) Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1. This is a commercial project, requiring all documents to be prepared, sealed, signed, and dated by a registered design professional. Provide complete electrical plans, design, and calculations, sealed by an Arizona Registrant. Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304, 2018 IBC section 107.1, 2017 NEC, City of Tucson Commercial Plan Submittal Requirements. 2. Clarify the scope of work. There is an existing permit that has been completed that appears to show the exact same scope of work. Permit: T19CM09019. It appears to be the same plan-set that has been submitted. Also, the existing solar array layout on the roof does not match the proposed layout shown in this permit or the older permit. If you are adding onto an existing system, you need to show the existing system on the plans, both electrical and layout plans. 3. The line diagram does not match the Electrical Schematic. The Electrical Schematic shows the ‘New EMT Containing PV AC Circuits’ as tying into an Existing Disconnect while the line diagram shows the AC Circuits tying directly into the lineside of the main panel. 4. Show compliance with NEC 690.15(A), or an appeal to the Building Official is required for a variance. The Disconnect Switch is greater than 10’ from the service entrance. 5. Compliance with NEC 705.12 cannot be verified due to incomplete plans. Provide plans showing the existing system and the connection of both the new and existing systems.
