12/17/2025 Commercial Mechanical Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Provide heating and cooling load calculations to justify the heating/cooling capacities of the specified HVAC units in the non-residential areas. Reference: Section C403.1.1 and C502.2.3, IECC 2018.
2. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the apartment. Reference: Sections R302.2 and R403.7, IECC 2018 as amended by the City of Tucson.
3. Show the size, routing, and termination of the condensate drain for the apartment, and for meeting room 2 if the add alternate is selected. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2018 as amended by the City of Tucson.
4. Provide calculations to verify that adequate ventilation will be provided for all of the occupied spaces. Note: the occupant load used to calculate the required ventilation is not necessarily the same as the occupant load used for calculating exiting requirements. The occupant load used for calculating the minimum required ventilation for the auditorium is to be based on Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018 or an approved (i.e., requires an appeal to the building official) engineering analysis of the specific occupancy type. Reference: Sections 401.2, 403.3.1.1, 403.3.1.1.2.3, and 403.3.2, IMC 2018.
5. Provide information on the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fan, EF-1, to show that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted during the occupied hours. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2018.
6. Show how the dryer installation complies with Section 504.6, IMC 2018.

a. Provide an outdoor site lighting plan that meets the requirements of OLC 104.2. Show/locate the different light sources on your site plan. Number the light fixtures on your lighting fixture table and use the same number on your site plan.
This will require all exterior lights to be shown on the site exterior lighting plan, including site and parking lot lights.
b. List the Lighting Area per OLC (typically E3) chapter 3 and used in Table 401.1. Specify the compliance option from Table 401.1 that is being used. Total outdoor light output shall not exceed the lumen limits listed in Table 401.1.
c. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 104.2.1, 401.2. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the calculations. List shielded and unshielded lights in the calculation.
d. Show unshielded fixtures with a maximum of 3,000 lumens, OLC 401.4.
e. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1.
f. Provide the manufacturer’s specification sheets for the outdoor lighting fixtures. Include the lumen and color temperature values for each outdoor fixture type.
g. Indicate whether or not a special inspection is required per sec. 104.2.2, and 106.2.
