Code reference, 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1. Provide a panel schedule highlighting the circuits that are being modified and added. Correlate the panel schedule circuit numbers with the location of the electrical outlets, receptacles, switches, mechanical equipment, etc, on the electrical plan. 2. Show all wiring methods in detail for all branch circuit wiring along with branch circuit and breaker panel designations and correlate with the panel schedules. NEC arts;300 and 408.4. 3. Show a receptacle outlet within 3’ of each lavatory basin in each bathroom, [NEC 210.52(D)]. Show Bathroom receptacles with a separate 20 AMP dedicated circuit, [NEC 210.11(C)(3)] and [NEC 210.52(D)]. GFCI Protected, [NEC 210.8(A)]. The International Plumbing Code, 2018, is the controlling code for this structure, not the International Residential Plumbing Code. Reference: Section 101.2, IPC 2018. 2. If the proposed shower will not have a prefabricated receptor, provide details to show that the construction of the receptor complies with the requirements of Section 421.5, IPC 2018. 3. Sizing pipes for water distribution systems using Appendix E, IPC 2018 is an accepted engineering method but Section E102.2.2 of Appendix E, IPC 2018 states that fixture units cannot be used for constant use items such as hose bibbs. A separate demand value for hose bibbs is to be added to the demand that was determined using fixture units. 4. For the use of PEX tubing, provide a branch tube sizing chart showing the correct size of PEX tubing to be used as a substitute for the copper pipe shown on the drawings. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 604.3, IPC 2018. 5. Verify that the relocated washer box is equipped with water hammer arrestors that comply with ASSE 1010. Reference: Section 604.9, IPC 2018. 6. Clarify the routing and connections of the waste piping for the clothes washer and lavatory. Show the drainage fittings correctly installed to guide sewage in the direction of flow. Reference: Section 706.3, IPC 2018. 7. The fixture drain serving an automatic clothes washer shall connect to a fixture branch that is at least 3 inches in diameter. Reference: Section 406.2, IPC 2018. |
