As an alternative, the scope of this project allows for the use of the presumptive load bearing values from 2018 IBC Table 1806.2. If the engineer's intention is to utilize these values, please revise the structural general notes to reflect the allowable bearing pressure for "sand, silty sand, clayey sand, silty gravel and clayey gravel" (2,000 psf) in lieu of submitting a formal geotechnical report. 3. M1.2 - MECHANICAL LOADS: Mechanical roof plan, M1.2, references equipment on the roof ranging from 850 lb to 2,100 lb. Please coordinate locations and weights of these Mechanical units and verify that the existing roof framing is sufficient to support the new mechanical loads. If reinforcement of the existing roof joists is needed, please provide a structural roof plan and details. 4.
