Provide additional documents as requested by review staff. STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS: DENIED 1. Provide Geotechnical Report for the proposed building per International Building Code 2018, Section 1803.1. 2. Refer to Structural Calculations page 4 and Structural Drawing S100. The Wind Load parameters shown does not match. Revise as needed and resubmit. 3. Structural steel, components and fasteners which are exposed to weather are to be protected against corrosion in accordance with AISC 360 Section B.13 as indicated in IBC 2018 Section 2203.1. 4. DEFERRED SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS Structural general notes are to include any components of the building that may be considered deferred submittals. IBC Section 107.3.4.1 requires deferred submittals to be approved by the building official. Examples of items that likely should not be deferred include deep foundation elements, deep excavation shoring and prefabricated metal buildings. If items will be deferred the plans are to clearly note the following per IBC Section 107.3.4.1: * To be reviewed by design professional in responsible charge. * Design professional shall affix a notation that the deferred items are in general conformance with their design of the building. * They shall be submitted for review by the building official. * Shall not be installed until approved by building official. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. My records do not indicate there is a fire alarm at this location. Verify if the existing building has a fire alarm and make appropriate changes. -Incorrect address on title block for many of the sheets. Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, FA. Make corrections. -Code data/analysis lists IEBC. Provide an explanation as to which compliance method is being utilized for this project and why it's exempt from fire sprinklers. -You listed your occupancy type as an R2. Fire sprinklers will need to be installed throughout, IFC 903.2.8 -Install CO detectors, IFC 1103.9 if applicable. Include on drawings. |
