2. GENERAL - WOOD MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS: Framing details beginning on Sheet S5.0 show sawn lumber framing for new parapet walls are roof rafters. Please update the structural general notes to provide material
specifications for wood framing, including information on wood species, grade, fasteners and connectors as needed.
3. S1.3 / S2.0 - STRUCTURAL STEEL ANCHORS: The foundation plans beginning on Sheet S2.0 indicate multiple locations where new structural steel columns are being installed. The New Column Schedule on S2.0 does not include
information on base plates or anchors for Column Type "C1", nor does it specify a minimum embedment length for the anchor rods at Column Type "C2". The typical Anchor Bolt Schedule on 12/S1.3 similarly does not indicate a minimum
embedment length and Detail 103 on Sheet S4.0 does not specify a base plate, anchor size or embedment for typical Column "C1". Please indicate where this information has been provided or revise the sheets if information has been
omitted.
4. S3.5 - CONFLICTING INFORMATION: The East - Intermediate Framing Plan, S3.5, shows section cuts for Details 204 "SIM" and 229 at the proposed parapet framing. These details call out conflicting information on the stud wall
framing. Please confirm if 2x6 walls studs shall be placed at 16" oc per Detail 204 or at 24" oc per Detail 229 and revise the sheets to be consistent.
5. S5.1 / S5.2 - SCREEN WALL CONNECTIONS: Screen Wall Elevations 214 and 234 currently do not include welding information for the proposed diagonal struts. Further, Detail 214 calls for a HSS4x4 diagonal strut that appears to
extend to the foundation. The exact geometry could not be confirmed, as this brace is not visible in the Architectural Elevation 5/A2-04. Please provide a new or elongated detail that shows how this "first story" diagonal brace is
attached at the ground level.
