COMMENTS:
1. PROVIDED VALUATION
a. The provided valuation of the HVAC install is $1,669,600.00. This valuation is too high for the work being done. Please log into the building permit record and correct this within the permit -or- submit the actual bid/cost estimate for the project and the city will plug this amount within the permit record.
2. DESIGN CONDITIONS, Location
a. The design is based on the location of Blue Canyon, CALIFORNIA. Please base it on the location of the structure which is Tucson, ARIZONA. Please submit the correct design based on the actual location.
b. The City of Tucson adopted the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code. The City of Tucson Amendments requires the following:
i. Winter Outside Design Dry Bulb Temperature of 35 +/-2 degrees Fahrenheit. (The submitted document shows 24 degrees Fahrenheit.) Please correct this discrepancy.
ii. Summer Outside Design Dry Bulb Temperature of 105 +/-2 degrees Fahrenheit. (The submitted documents shows 110 degrees Fahrenheit.) Please correct this discrepancy.
iii. Design Wet Bulb Temperature of 66 degrees Fahrenheit. (The submitted document shows 60 degrees Fahrenheit.) Please correct this discrepancy.
3. DESIGN INFORMATION, Latent Cooling Equipment Load Sizing
a. Equipment Total Load shows 508,230 Btuh equaling 55 Tons and 25,518 CFM actual air flow. (I assume this is for the entire building cooling need.)
b. The submitted Trane HVAC unit YSK180A4S0L is a 15 Ton unit providing 6,000 CFM air flow. (This indicates to me that perhaps only one unit is being replaced.)
c. Please submit a drawing, an aerial photo is also acceptable. Locate/mark/label the unit being replaced on the aerial photo. Provide the heating/cooling capacity/efficiency ratings/tonnage size/CFM air flow and weight of the unit being replaced which allow the city to confirm against the proposed unit to determine a like for like condition is indeed being executed.
