Should the above not followed, it may delay your approval. COMMENTS: 1. Project Code Check a. Drinking Fountain i. Please correct the Code Check to include a drinking fountain. ii. Locate and label on the floor plan. iii. Correct the Plumbing drawings to include this drinking fountain. b. Should you decide to use a substitute such as a water dispenser, per city amendment… you will be required to: i. Connect dispenser to a permanent supply of potable water. ii. A permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser at the dispenser. 2. Please ensure that the facility is accessible complying to the ICC/ANSI A117.1 for both Employees and Customers. 3. Lavatory shall be maximum 34 inches above floor to the higher of the rim or counter surface, faucets and soap dispenser shall have a reach depth of 11 inches per ANSI 606.5 a. Metered faucets shall remain open for 10 seconds minimum per ANSI 606.4 b. Water supply and drain pipes under lavatories shall be insulated to protect against contact per ANSI 606.6 c. Please provide the drawings illustrating the above. d. Please provide Restroom Signs together as well with the requested illustration above. 4. Work Surfaces a. Please provide drawings illustrating the below items for the Reception Counter and the Prep Area counter. b. The tops work surfaces shall be 28 inches min & 34 inches max above the floor per ICC A117.1 sec 902.4. i. Sec 306.3.3 Knee clearance shall be 11 inches min in depth at 9 inches above the floor, and 8 inches min in depth at 27 inches above the floor. ii. Sec 306.2.4 Additional toe clearance space extending greater than 6 inches beyond the available knee clearance at 9 inches above the floor. iii. Sec 306.3 Knee clearance shall be 30 inches min in width. iv. 904.3.2 Parallel approach, the counter surface 36 inches min length. v. 904.3.3 Forward approach, the counter surface 30 inches min length. 5.
