Additionally, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed. Please note the submittal was incomplete and the plan review was conducted using the information presented. The subsequent review could generate more comments after original comments have been addressed. Please submit a separate permit for the IDF rooms located on different floors. The same construction documents can be used for both permits; however, please change the description so each floor is separately identified. For example, BUMCT Tower 3, Floor 3NE, converting and combining a clean supply and office to make a new IDF room on the third floor. IBC 107.2.1 Please provide a section showing the fire barrier wall assemblies continuous from the top of a fire-resistance rated floor/ceiling assembly to the bottom of the floor or roof slab/deck above. IBC 707.5 Please provide a drawing showing the 1-hour fire barrier assembly and clarify method of building analysis used for the basis of approval for the fire barrier. For new 1-hour fire-rated assemblies, provide construction details with basis of approval by one of the following: A. Listing number approved by third-party testing agency (i.e., UL, GA) B. Item number for prescriptive fire-resistive assembly under IBC Table 721.1(2) C. Prescriptive assembly constructed under IBC 722.6. Please amend the plans to provide the methods used to maintain the fire barrier integrity at penetrations of the fire barrier. IBC 707.7 Please include the approval agency listing report number for the fire penetration method(s) such as ICC-ES, UL etc. Please contact me if you have any questions about these comments.
