Note the Alteration Level per the Classification of Work per Section 601 of the 2018 International Existing Building Code on the drawings. 2. Sheet G1.0 (Life Safety Plan). Clarify the type of door that is indicated as existing on the east side of the building near to ramp that will serve as an exit into the outside courtyard. As drawn, this appears to be a sliding type, or folding door. 2018 IBC Section 1010.1.4. 3. Sheet G1.0 (Life Safety Plan). The exit door to the east goes directly into a courtyard that appears to have a fence and gate at the side facing Arizona Ave. The exit discharge shall provide a direct and unobstructed access to a public way. Show the courtyard and the exit and required opening width out to the public way on the plan. Include in the occupancy count any customer seating that will be in this area. 2018 IBC Section 1028.5. 4. Sheet G1.0 and Sheet G1.2 (Life Safety Plans). Show the location of the exit signage on the life safety drawings that coordinates with the exit paths. 2018 IBC Section 1013. 5. Sheet G1.0 and Sheet G1.2 (Life Safety Plans). Show the location of the emergency lighting with battery backup fixtures including the fixture on the exterior of the doors that will illuminate the exterior landings. 2018 IBC Section 1008.3.2. 6. Sheet A2.0 (Floor Plan). Provide construction details for the new wood steps to be provided in the bakery area including tread and riser information and clear width. 2018 IBC Section 1011. 7. Sheet A2.1 (Floor Plan). The floor plan notes number 7 indicates a new wood guardrail to be installed in the mezzanine.
