However, the drawings are required to be made clearer as to where this would be required. Any walls (front/side/rear) and roof that falls within 5 ft from the side property line must have a fire rating of 1 hour. Please add notes to your drawings making it clear as to where this fire rating is to be applied per IBC Table 602. 2. You have confirmed the new addition as an S-2 occupancy classification. With that confirmed, a 2 hour fire rated wall is required between the Assembly and Service of trailers structure with occupancy classification of F-1 and the new S-2 Addition. Please make the necessary correction to the drawings to make this clear per IBC Table 508.4. |
