COMMENTS:
1. THEMED NATURALISTIC CONCRETE CLADDING
a. Please provide detailed drawings as to how this concrete cladding is attached to the concrete hull.
2. CARVED SPINDLES
a. Are the three spindles carved and assembled on skewers allowing it to spin. If so, how are these three spindles attached to the concrete hull. Please provide detailed drawings.
b. Or is it like a plaque. How is it attached to the concrete hull. Please provide detailed drawings.
c. NOTE: We do see a detail of a nitch at the top of the element as shown on the front elevation. The rear elevation does not have this detail as shown on the cross section drawing. Are they to be installed differently. If so provide detailed drawings.
3. VINE
a. What material is used for the vine. Please provide detailed drawings.
b. How is this vine attached to the concrete cladding. Please provide detailed drawings at the base, along the vine length and at the top.
4. PLANTING PLUGS
a. In order to prevent concrete spalling resulting from moisture/water accumulation within the concrete void, please provide detailed drawings how this void is to be waterproofed. Is the raisin cup part of the assembly design and how is water going to be prevented from entering the void. Please provide waterproofing detailed drawings.
5. PORTAL COLUMN AT DONOR WALL
a. No drawings are provided for this column.
b. Is this a new column. If so, please provide detailed drawings as to how this is constructed. Please do make sure that Schneider Structural Engineers provide detailed drawings similar to the Themed Concrete Column.
6. LIGHTS
a. The front elevation of the Themed Concrete Column shows lights above the “Pathway to Asia” sign.
b. Please provide Electrical Drawings.
7. “PATHWAY TO ASIA” SIGN
a. Please provide detailed drawings.
b. How deep is this carved sign.
c. The front elevation indicates it being carved out of the themed cladding. Will carving the delicate/smaller letters like the letter “a” will crumble the cladding.
