Sheet P101 – City of Tucson Amendments to the 2018 International Plumbing Code Section 1003.3 Grease interceptors/Hydromechanical Grease Interceptors: “If a dishwasher or food waste disposal unit is used in the facility, an HGI cannot be used and an appropriately sized GGI or alternative pretreatment device, capable of accepting these wastes, must be installed.” Specified GT1 Shier GB-75 is HGI. NOTE: Documentation of a cost estimate from your contractor will be required if this project involves any reconstruction, repair, rehabilitation, structurally connected addition, or other improvement of an existing structure (including TI’s and solar). Construction of separate builds/new structures does not require a cost estimate to be provided.
Instructions:
1. Navigate into the current project in the “My Work” tab. Within the permit, navigate to the “Sub-Records” tab and click “Apply” on the Floodplain Use Permit Sub-Record
2. Locations -> Confirm the location is accurate to the project. Click “Next”
3. Type -> Fill in the “Square Feet” and “Valuation” boxes with the project area and a contractor-provided cost estimate (See note above: for new structures, input 0). Click “Next”
4. Contacts -> Confirm contacts and add any additional contacts if applicable. Click “Next”
5. More Info -> This will be filled in by the engineer assigned to your case, Click “Next”
6. Attachments -> Please attach the project plan, supporting documentation for the cost estimate (if applicable), and a drainage/hydrology report (if applicable). Click “Next”
7. Signature -> Read the statement and type your name. Sign your name below (You may Enable Type Signature to have the software sign for you.) Click “Next”
8. Review and Submit -> Review all information to ensure accuracy. Click “Submit”

TRANSMITTAL DATE: August 7, 2023

Please resubmit revised drawings with a detailed response letter stating how all Zoning Review Section comments were addressed.

The site is in the C-1 zone (UDC 4.7.20). Food Service is a permitted land use in the C-1 zone, subject to use-specific standards 4.9.4.M.1 and .5, and 4.9.13.O.

1. Per Tucson Unified Development Code (UDC) 3.3.3.G.2.a, a site plan (development package) is required for all new non-residential development. A development package meeting the Checklist for Minor Development Changes to Existing Commercial/Industrial Sites is required for this project: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/pdsd/documents/permits/minor_changes_to_commercial_industrial_sites_.pdf.

The development package is a separate submittal and shall be applied for through the Tucson Development Center Online under application type “Development Package.” The development package is required to be submitted, reviewed, and approved by all review agencies prior to Zoning approval of TC-COM-0823-01893.
