Structural Design: Please provide structural calculations, construction drawings, and details for the proposed modification to the gas canopy facades. Demonstrate that the existing canopy structure, proposed facade framing, connections, and attachments are adequate for all applicable loads and load combinations, including dead, wind, seismic, uplift, lateral, and overturning forces. Provide sufficient details to demonstrate a complete load path from the proposed facade components to the existing structural system. 2024 IBC Sections 1603.1, 1604.2, 1604.4, 1604.8, and 1605. 2. COMMENT: Per UDC 7.4.6.E.2, the minimum height clearance from the underside of the proposed sign face and the travel lane needs to be 15’-0” clear. Ensure the design meets this standard and provide this dimension on the resubmittal. 2. COMMENT: Regarding the future signage. A separate signage permit will be required.
