The use of a point-of-use water dispenser in lieu of a drinking fountain requires the installation of a listed and labeled dispenser along with a permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser. The cup dispenser shall be located adjacent to the water dispenser with the dispensing end between 34” and 48” above the finished floor. Faucets serving lavatories in all buildings other than R3 occupancies, individual units in R2 occupancies, or International Residential Code structures shall be automatic faucets dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per cycle. The cycle time shall not be less than ten-seconds for accessibility. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018 as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09. 3. Clarify the disparity between the domestic water pipe sizing noted in key notes 6 and 7, P1.1, and the pipe size table on P2.1 showing the pipe sizes required for serving flush valves (e.g. 1-1/2” for 12 flush valve fixture units and 2” for up to 87 flush valve fixture units). Reference: Section 604.1, IPC 2018. 4. The model numbers for IWH-2 and IWH-3 are incomplete. Verify that the specified units are listed for public handwashing and multiple lavatories.
