Plan review for the above referenced project has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Please cloud and delta all changes and provide a letter with a written response to each of the comments indicating the action taken.

The scope of this review covers the architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical designs as they relate to the codes adopted by the jurisdiction. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

Deferred Submittals: None.
Special Inspections: Concrete, epoxy and expansion anchors, high-strength bolts, field welding, sprayed fire-resistant materials, fire-resistant penetrations and joints (high-rises), and outdoor lighting.

STRUCTURAL COMMENTS

1. There is no evidence on this structural deferred submittal that it has been reviewed by the engineer of record as required by 2018 IBC Sec. 107.3.4.1. There needs to be a shop drawing stamp on this deferred submittal indicating that the engineer of record has reviewed the document and finds that it is in conformance with the design of the building.

2. How was the quantity of FRP reinforcement determined to ensure that the additional shear capacity specified by the engineer of record is being achieved by this design? Where are the calculations that were performed to determine the necessary quantity?
