The requirements in OSHA 1926.757 for the erection of open web steel joists are to be followed. Where steel joists are used with columns that are not framed in at least two directions with solid web structural steel members, a steel joist shall be field-bolted at the column to provide lateral stability to the column during erection. Where constructability does not allow a steel joist to be installed at the column the joists are to be stabilized on both sides of the column. 7. Except for steel joists that have been pre-assembled into panels, connections of individual steel joists to steel structures in bays 40 feet or more shall be fabricated to allow for field bolting during erection. 8. Verify OSHA steel erection standards for open web steel joists. Section 1926.757 (a)(8) requires connections of individual steel joists to steel structures in bays of 40 feet or more shall be fabricated to allow for field bolting during erection. 9. Provide a vertical stabilizer plate at columns for steel joist as required by OSHA 1926.757. 10. Show lines of bridging for the steel joists per joist manufacturer’s recommendations. 11. DEFERRED SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS Structural general notes are to include any components of the building that may be considered deferred submittals. IBC Section 107.3.4.1 requires deferred submittals to be approved by the building official. Examples of items that likely should not be deferred include deep foundation elements, deep excavation shoring and prefabricated metal buildings. If items will be deferred the plans are to clearly note the following per IBC Section 107.3.4.1: * To be reviewed by design professional in responsible charge. * Design professional shall affix a notation that the deferred items are in general conformance with their design of the building. * They shall be submitted for review by the building official. * Shall not be installed until approved by building official. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. This site is located in the C-2 zone (UDC 4.7.21). Auto Sales is a permitted use in the zone, (Table 4.8-4), subject to Use Specific Standards 4.9.9.G.1& .2. 1. COMMENT: Zoning has reviewed the building plans for compliance with Development Package (DP) TD-DEV-0423-00209 and there appears to be a couple of discrepancies will need to be addressed. Until the DP is approved by all review agencies Zoning cannot approve the building plans. 2. COMMENT: The area around the proposed carwash shown on the Architectural Site Plan, sheet A100, does not match what is shown on the DP. 3. COMMENT: The dimension, 28’-0” x 52”-0”, shown on the Floor Plan - Carwash, sheet A101, do not match the dimension, 24’ x 52’, shown on the DP. 4. COMMENT: The Dumpster Enclosure shown on the Architectural Site Plan, sheet A100, does not match what is shown on the DP.
