1. Please revise Sheet 2-A-504. It appears the microwave and its controls will be located outside the obstructed side reach ranges permitted by ICC A117.1-2017 Sections 308 (Reach Ranges) and 309 (Operable Parts). Please revise the plans to reduce the reach range or demonstrate how the microwave placement complies with the accessibility requirements.

05/20/2026 Commercial Mechanical Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT The City of Tucson has adopted the 2024 IMC as the approved method for calculating ventilation requirements for occupancies other than ambulatory care facilities and I-2 occupancies. The ventilation of spaces within these healthcare occupancies for which no functionally equivalent spaces exist in ASHRAE 170/ASHE or NFPA 99, shall be based on Section 403, IMC 2024. Reference: Sections 401.2 and 407.2, IMC 2024 as amended by the City of Tucson.
