This letter reflects comments to be addressed. PLEASE send all response to comments back to the City through the permit portal! Responses sent directly to Stantec will be ignored. Also, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed. Please cloud and delta all changes and provide a letter with a written response to each of the comments indicating the action taken. The scope of this review covers the architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical designs as they relate to the codes adopted by the jurisdiction. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. Special Inspections: None. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS General 1. Please provide proof that this project has been submitted to the Pima County Health Department for permitting. Make sure to incorporate any of their comments into any future submittals. 2. Please indicate that the signage is to be provided as part of this project and are to be submitted as a separate permit (not a deferred submittal). 3. The plan-set indicates the installation of a new mechanical unit on the roof weighing 675lbs. This unit appears to be in a different area of the roof than the original unit. Please provide a structural analysis that indicates the proposed units can be placed at the locations indicated with/without additional reinforcement. [Ref. IBC 2018 Sec. 1604.4] {This comment is also included in the ‘Structural Comments’ section.} Sheet G1 1. Please revise the occupancy classification under the ‘General Building Summary’ to a Group B occupancy as it conflicts the occupancy classification on sheet G2. [Ref. The adjacent space also appears to be fully enclosed, abandoned, and unoccupied based on satellite images of the property. Egress into this location does not seem feasible based on these conditions. Please clarify the intent and revise plans accordingly. [Ref. IBC 2018 Sec. 1016.2.1] STRUCTURAL COMMENTS General 1.
