06/20/2024 Commercial Mechanical REQUIRES RESUBMIT Detail 2/M4.0 still shows the possibility of the condensate draining to a roof drain. Verify that any roof drain being utilized for condensate drainage terminates at or below grade in an area capable of absorbing the condensate flow without surface drainage. [Initial comment: Revise detail 2/M4.0. Condensate drains may not terminate over a roof drain or gutter unless the roof drain or gutter terminates at or below grade in an area capable of absorbing the condensate flow without surface drainage. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson.]
06/20/2024 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT Table 402.4(3), IFGC 2018 is intended for use with natural gas systems having an initial pressure of 8” water or greater and is based on systems with only four elbows. The supplier of natural gas, Southwest Gas, supplies gas at 7” water, 2 PSIG, and 5 PSIG. With a large distribution system and allowing a pressure drop of 3” water could result in the gas pressure at the appliance being below the manufacturer’s minimum acceptable pressure. Provide the minimum gas pressures required for each connected appliance. Verify that the gas distribution system includes all of the gas-fired appliances on the same gas meter (e.g., RTU-1, RTU-2,RTU-5, and RTU-6). [Initial comment: Provide a natural gas piping design, showing the initial gas pressure, settings for the pressure regulators, pipe material, pipe sizes (e.g. 1-3/4” pipe?), loads and developed lengths of the piping. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.]
