04/23/2024 | Design Review | NOT REQUIRED | RE: signage information review only For: Obelisk structure AT: 3249 N Freeway Permit: TC-COM-0424-00614 Reviewer: H. Thrall (Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov) Date: 4/23/24 Courtesy information: codes applicable to signs: Unified Development Code 7A, Sign Standards, National Electrical Code (NEC 600), Tucson - Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC), and International Building Code (IBC) 2018 1. The proposal consists of a non-illuminated obelisk structure at 50' height, intended to be an art display at the NW corner of Fort Lowell and the I-10 frontage. No signage is depicted on the proposed metal structure, and it appears at this time the structure is only subject to technical building codes. 2. Please note that should illumination be desired for the structure at a later time, a separate building permit would be required to be submitted and reviewed for compliance with adopted codes of the City of Tucson (i.e. outdoor lighting codes, national electrical code and UDC 7A Sign Standards, as applicable). For planning purposes, should you desire to obtain information about signage criteria for this location, I may be reached at Heather.Thrall@tucsonaz.gov |
