As per electrical review comment #1 (6-21-2023),” 1 Provide complete compliance with the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code For the under-Canopy lighting. See section 401.2.1(2). Comply with light source color temperature output and shielding requirements.” Plan review comment #1 (8-15-2023),” 1; The Photometric Analysis shows the new under canopy luminaires Color Temperature rated at 4000K. This is in violation of the 2012 City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC) section 402.1, (3500K max). To verify OLC compliance, provide the information required on the site lighting plans, per section 104.2 (Plan/Permit Submittal Requirements), and Lumen calculations per 104.2.1, 104.2.3, OLC.” Plan review comment #1 (12-20-2023), is not completely satisfied. Although the color output temperature of the luminaire lamps was revised to 3000K, the luminaires ‘Diffused lens’ still does not classify it as equipped with full Cut-Off shielding, rendering the lighting as Un-Shielded exterior lighting. Therefore, Outdoor Lighting Code sections 104.2. thru 104.2.3 will need to be completely addressed in association with all lighting (Existing and new) located within the Parcel as required per sections 104.2.1(1)(2)(3). 1. Provide site lighting plans with the following information on the plans. (a) Provide a complete luminaire schedule. (b) Full compliance with sections 104.2.1(1), (2), (3). 2. See table 401.1, Include parcel size, lighting area and option, and indicate this information in the lighting site plan. (The Lighting Option selected Option 1) is for lighting that includes LPS (Low Pressure Sodium) lighting. 3 402.1 (light source color temperature requirements), shielding requirements, etc . Color temp ok. The shielding is Un-Shielded. 4 Provide calcs for total lumens allowed and total lumens proposed per acre for Full Cut Off and Unshielded per table 401.1. Must include existing to remain lighting. 5 Indicate whether or not a special inspection is required per sec. 104.2.2, and 106.2. OK. 6 Specify any exceptions used. 7 Provide Curfew lighting controls If applicable Per section 403. Required for Un-Shielded lighting. Ref; 2012 City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code.
