The previous electrical plan review comments requested additional information as well as correct lumen calculations to verify compliance with the 2012 City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code. The revised exterior lighting plan made reference to the existing permit T12CM02811. This permit shows the lumens for the project at 212,500 lumens. Provide evidence on the plans for this current project that all existing and new proposed lumen totals meet the requirements for the total allowed lumens per acre, table 401.1, OLC Code. Per the Outdoor Lighting Calculation Table, the total existing and proposed new lumens is calculated at 149.724 lumens. Please explain how this is possible. Section 102.4.2 and 104.2.1(2) The exterior IECC ComCheck only accounts for 2 fixtures. Of course it passes by 96% or better. Also, the interior lighting. What about all the existing lighting? Are they exempt from the total allowed exterior wattage? Please clarify. Ref; 2018 IBC section 107.2.1, 2017 NEC, 2018 IECC, 2012 City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code (OLC). |
