Provide Structural Calculations for Foundations and Mezzanine Framing and Roof Framing per Section 1601.1 of International Building Code 2018. 2. Provide Wind Load Calculations for the Building per Section 1609 of International Building Code 2018. Verify the Column Reactions. 3. Provide Seismic Calculations for the Building per Section 1613 of International Building Code 2018. Verify the Column Reactions. 4. If the mezzanine is supporting equipment loads. Verify the total operating weight of permanent equipment is included in determining the effective seismic weight and applied to the lateral resisting system as required in ASCE-7 Section 12.7.2. Refer to Architectural Drawing A1.1, Equipment Platform – Floor Plan. 5. If the mezzanine is classified as an office. Verify the partition loads are included in determining the effective seismic weight and applied to the lateral resisting system as required in ASCE-7 Section 12.7.2. 6. All Calculations shall be sealed and signed by Professional Engineer registered with State of Arizona per Section 107.1 of International Building Code 2018. 7. Provide Geotechnical Report for the proposed building per International Building Code 2018, Section 1803.1. Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings. BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Clarify why the architects stamp indicates the documents were signed by Sandy Epstein when the stamp indicates the registered Architect is Isaac Sanford Epstein. Is Sandy a common name or nick name for this registered professional? Please sign the drawings with the legal name of the professional as it appears on their license. 2. Add to the list of applicable code on sheet T1.0 the 2018 International Fuel Gas Code, City of Tucson/ Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code, and the ICC A117.1-2009 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities. 3. Clarify if the area above the offices is to be a mezzanine and used for storage and equipment or if it to be an equipment platform only. Provide a separate life safety and egress plan for this area including the distance to exits. 2018 IBC 505.2.2. 4. Indicate on the partition notes that all penetrations through the fire rated walls will be in accordance with 2018 IBC section 714. 5. Indicate the minimum and maximum riser and tread on the drawings, only the riser was indicated on the detail sheet A3.3. All accessible stairs shall have a uniform tread and risers. Risers shall be 4” minimum and 7” maximum in height. Treads shall be 11” minimum in depth. The OSHA regulation on the bottom of sheet A3.3 is confusing, indicate the requirements per the IBC 1011. 6. Update the detail titles to include compliance with the ICC A117.1-2009 on sheet A0.1, not just the ADA. 7. Indicate on the interior finish schedule on sheet A1.5 that all interior finishes shall be class C or better in accordance with 2018 IBC 803. 8. Indicate on signage sheet 7.1 that all signage will be part of a separate submittal. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Provide ventilation air schedule (IMC2018,403.3.1.1.1) 2. Provide gas piping plan, with the gas pressure at the point of delivery, and the design pressure drop, maximum gas demand and specific gravity of the fuel gas and the total pipe length from the meter to the farthest appliance. Comment only, noticed two circuits for AHU-1 HEAT. PLUMBING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied First Plumbing Review: 1). Add gutter & down spout sizes with calculations to plan page -A1.3 -IPC 1106.3., 1106.6 2). Provide Civil site utility piping plan for continuation of of sewer & water as shown on plan pages P2.1 & P1.1 -IPC 106.3.1 3). Oil interceptor on plan page P1.1 needs to be vented - IPC 1003.9 4).
