03/07/2024 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. The Plumbing Fixture Schedule calls out, “0.5 GPM MAX PER CYCLE” for the lavatory faucet. Revise the description to limit the cycle time to 30 seconds to comply with the requirement to dispense only 0.25 gallons per cycle. Reference: Section 412.11, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09.
2. The maximum distance between cleanouts shall be 100-feet, measured along the developed pipe length from the upstream entrance of the cleanout (i.e. the invert is 7.10 feet below the rim of the cleanout rim, the maximum horizontal distance is 92.90 feet). Reference: Section 708.1.1, IPC 2018.
3. An approved 2-way cleanout fitting is a single fitting, not a field-assembled group of individual fittings as shown in detail 4/P4.1. (Note that the IPC does not require the installation of a 2-way cleanout.) Reference: Section 708.1.8, IPC 2018.
